220 Volt Braun Hand Blender 400 Watt 2 Speed Chopper

Don’t trust this seller. They do not update their inventory. I ordered the Braun Hand Blender from them & the order was canceled because they did not have in stock, though there was no such information available on the site.

If you are ordering from this seller, all you will have to look forward to is disappointment.

  • Jeffries :

I’ve had one of these for years and I would not live without it. It emulsified salad dressings better than any whisk and there’s no need to “dribble in” the oil. Just put all ingredients int he bowl, turn it on and in seconds you have perfectly emulsified dresssing.

I like the size of the chopper unit too…mine lives on the counter top without being too obtrusive. I bought a Braun hand mixer that came with a slightly bigger chopper and I hate it. The bowl is too big for small quantities such as salad dressing and takes up too much space ont he counter and in the fridge.

I mainly use the chopper, but the stick blender comes in handy any time I want to puree soups or smooth out gravies. You simply put the stick blender into the pot and puree in a second. It’s so much simpler to use and clean up than a regular blender.

  • Keener :

This Braun immersion blender worked beautifully the first time I used it; I made a creamy potato soup that was simply to die for. However, the second time I used it, to chop nuts using the chopper attachment, the motor burned out completely in a matter of minutes. Then I discovered that Braun has discontinued the product and all others like it, so I was unable to replace the motor. The service representative was very nice and said to return the product for a refund, which I did, and which I have not yet received. My advice is choose another brand, no matter how good the price is on this one. The concept, however, is wonderful.

  • Daniel :

Truly a kitchen essential. Makes short work of so many kitchen tasks, clean-up is simple. It has completely replaced my traditional blender except for big pitchers of margaritas. Chopper/Spice mill and whisk attachments are also great. I have used it frequently for years. Finally wore out the Chopper attachment. Back then I paid about $28 (on Amazon). I have also given 3 or 4 as gifts.

BUT… you needn’t pay the outrageous price quoted here. (Note: sold here by an Amazon partner). Google “Braun MR430HC” for a better price: under $50

  • Calderon :

I bought this blender twice because it is very useful and handy. Yet, it breaks really fast. The motor suddenly stops working. It happened twice, I bought it, used it, then after a year (as if it’s an expiration date or something) it stops working! I will try another one, a stainless steel one this time as I realized I mostly use it for soups. Hope it’ll last longer.

  • Idle :

Bought this Braun MR430HC Multiquick Deluxe here on Amazon in March 200 8 and we were quite happy with it until recently, when it simply stopped working. We did not use it that often, and are surprised, given Braun’s general impression of quality and durability.

It comes with an array of handy accessories and seemed like a pretty fail-proof design (it only has one button).
You can detach the tip and wash it in the dishwasher, which is great.

  • Lamoreaux :

Bought one of these thinking it was a little overpriced, but the more I use it in the kitchen, the more I realize it was a real good price. Makes baby food in about a minute, mayo in about the same, hommous in a bit more, and the vacuum containers that also came in my “kit” are nice for long conservation of dried goods and hard cheese… I haven’t tried other containerizations yet. And above all, it’s a snap to clean up (run it a couple seconds in the dish water, and volait!)

  • Quicksall :

    BRAUN HAND BLENDER/CHOPPER

After owning a few cheaper units, I sprang for the Braun Hand Blender/Chopper and am very pleased with my choice. While I have mainly used mine for its easy blending-in-the-pot capabilities, I admit the chopper has equal merits, especially when you only need to chop a small quantity of ingredients.

I love being able to immerse the blade right in my soup pot to blend or puree soups and sauces without the mess of getting out my food processor or countertop blender. The blade does a quick job of pureeing and wash-up is a dream. I can’t imagine cooking without this handy device.

    Highly recommended.

  • Sais :

I bought this hand blender six years ago. I have used other Braun miniprimers before and I loved them. this one is no exception.

It has plenty of power, variable speed and a number of accessories for chopping, blending, whipping, etc.

    Problems so far:
After 4 or 5 years the on/off pulse switch broke, so I can only use it with the turbo switch. So far this is not a problem since I normally use it at full speed.

Also the whisk attachment lost a wire, and believe me it needs all of them otherwise it splatters everywhere.

The chopping cups rubber bases won’t stay put so I don’t use them.

    Conclusion:
This is a real multi tasker. Doesn’t take much space and it is the perfect tool for the home chef.

  • Skager :

Don’t like kitchen gadgets. Have a small kitchen with little room for extras. Don’t have, or care for, a microwave. Don’t need a toaster, or toaster oven.
Really only need the basics and a Kitchen Aid Mixer, Kitchen Aid food processor, an apple peeler hand-turn crank, and this wonderful immersion blender. This Braun immersion is a dream to use. So easy and fast and quiet. Doesn’t make a mess. Just mix up a pot of split pea soup and blend it down to just the consistency you like—right in the soup pot!!
All (but the motor section) just pops in the dishwasher. Also, have used the wire whisk that comes with it. I love this, have used it for two years, and highly recommend it.

  • Dempsey :

I’ve used my blender twice, every day, for 5 years. This blender is the best! Do not think that because you pay more a product from SurLaTab that you’ll get a superior blender. You won’t. I tried. And don’t even bother with cheaper versions.

  • Mix :

We got this as a wedding gift 4 years ago and its still as good as new ..works great for all purposes even marinades and salad dressings. I bought and additional 500ml chopper attachment and 350ml jar and works out great. Dont need the big guns the small one does it all.

  • Rinker :

The Braun hand blender itself is fabulous. no holes to clog up on the sides, very sturdy, love it. HOWEVER, the photo depicts the 350ml (I think that is the size) chopping cup attachment and it does not come with the blender. I think I read someone’s posting that it didn’t come with teh 350ml cup, but I went ahead and ordered it, and then 350ml cup and 500ml cup separately “just in case”. The shipper for the blender shipped in a timely manner etc. but the 350ml cup was not in the box. Poor choice of photos and misleading.
I will attempt to contact the seller and see if they will send me the 350ml chopper cup. it is priced at $299, and i think this is becasue the cup is supposed to be inclued, but there is another 5550M version depicted without the chopper cup for $259. What a rip off.
    part 2:
as stated I ordered the 350ml and 500ml separately “just in case” and only received 1 of 2. I contacted the seller “turnpike appliance” aka “small appliance.com” and after a 22 minute wait on hold (you have to call the 516 number not the toll free for complaints) the lady did not believe the box arrived without the 350ml cup. She showed it as having shipped, therefore in her mind the issue is closed. she took my number and said “she’d get back to me”. Yeah right. Listen folks, I’m not about to compromise my integrity for a $18 dollar chopper cup K?
Do not order from this company, I have a less than optomistic feeling about the company actually re-shipping the missing 350ml cup. So despite a pre-emptive strike, I’m stil missing the 350ml cup from either vendor. this is misleading. I purchased (and received) the 500ml chopper cup separately, and it is great!
