Blog To Find Out More About braun hand blender & chopper
This Braun immersion blender worked beautifully the first time I used it; I made a creamy potato soup that was simply to die for. However, the second time I used it, to chop nuts using the chopper attachment, the motor burned out completely in a matter of minutes. Then I discovered that Braun has discontinued the product and all others like it, so I was unable to replace the motor. The service representative was very nice and said to return the product for a refund, which I did, and which I have not yet received. My advice is choose another brand, no matter how good the price is on this one. The concept, however, is wonderful.

Bought this Braun MR430HC Multiquick Deluxe here on Amazon in March 200 8 and we were quite happy with it until recently, when it simply stopped working. We did not use it that often, and are surprised, given Braun’s general impression of quality and durability.
It comes with an array of handy accessories and seemed like a pretty fail-proof design (it only has one button).
You can detach the tip and wash it in the dishwasher, which is great.
Truly a kitchen essential. Makes short work of so many kitchen tasks, clean-up is simple. It has completely replaced my traditional blender except for big pitchers of margaritas. Chopper/Spice mill and whisk attachments are also great. I have used it frequently for years. Finally wore out the Chopper attachment. Back then I paid about $28 (on Amazon). I have also given 3 or 4 as gifts.
BUT… you needn’t pay the outrageous price quoted here. (Note: sold here by an Amazon partner). Google “Braun MR430HC” for a better price: under $50

I’ve had one of these for years and I would not live without it. It emulsified salad dressings better than any whisk and there’s no need to “dribble in” the oil. Just put all ingredients int he bowl, turn it on and in seconds you have perfectly emulsified dresssing.
I like the size of the chopper unit too…mine lives on the counter top without being too obtrusive. I bought a Braun hand mixer that came with a slightly bigger chopper and I hate it. The bowl is too big for small quantities such as salad dressing and takes up too much space ont he counter and in the fridge.
I mainly use the chopper, but the stick blender comes in handy any time I want to puree soups or smooth out gravies. You simply put the stick blender into the pot and puree in a second. It’s so much simpler to use and clean up than a regular blender.
I bought this blender twice because it is very useful and handy. Yet, it breaks really fast. The motor suddenly stops working. It happened twice, I bought it, used it, then after a year (as if it’s an expiration date or something) it stops working! I will try another one, a stainless steel one this time as I realized I mostly use it for soups. Hope it’ll last longer.

Don’t trust this seller. They do not update their inventory. I ordered the Braun Hand Blender from them & the order was canceled because they did not have in stock, though there was no such information available on the site.
If you are ordering from this seller, all you will have to look forward to is disappointment.
BRAUN HAND BLENDER/CHOPPER
After owning a few cheaper units, I sprang for the Braun Hand Blender/Chopper and am very pleased with my choice. While I have mainly used mine for its easy blending-in-the-pot capabilities, I admit the chopper has equal merits, especially when you only need to chop a small quantity of ingredients.
I love being able to immerse the blade right in my soup pot to blend or puree soups and sauces without the mess of getting out my food processor or countertop blender. The blade does a quick job of pureeing and wash-up is a dream. I can’t imagine cooking without this handy device.
Highly recommended.
Bought one of these thinking it was a little overpriced, but the more I use it in the kitchen, the more I realize it was a real good price. Makes baby food in about a minute, mayo in about the same, hommous in a bit more, and the vacuum containers that also came in my “kit” are nice for long conservation of dried goods and hard cheese… I haven’t tried other containerizations yet. And above all, it’s a snap to clean up (run it a couple seconds in the dish water, and volait!)
