This is my second Waring blender. The first one had a motor burnout after about 3 years and daily use. So far, I’m happy. This one has more power and the plastic jar has better sloped sides to feed things toward the blades. I also have the glass jar from the last blender - which looks better. So far, so good.

parts for black and decker blenders Free Related Tip
This is a great smoothie blender. it does a great job on the ice and makes a really smooth product. It is really loud but it definitely gets the job done. I would recommend taking it apart completely before cleaning because crud likes to get stuck under the blade.
I have this Waring blender on the counter at my apartment and it matches my stainless appliances and looks great!
Most important the Waring really works well. I like mixed drinks like margaritas and I was looking for a smooth texture when mixing in ice cubes. The Waring delivers!
I also like the fact it is made in the USA although the great way it works is the most important to me.
We are for the most part happy with this blender. The only disappointment was that the blender karafe is plastic , not glass. If I had known that in advance I probably would have purchased one that was glass.

We had an older Waring Pro blender whose blades tended to completely stop rotating (while the motor continued to turn) with heavier ingredients. Thinking it was a defect, we finally replaced it with this one and now have the exact same issue. The blade assembly seems to have some kind of protective clutch, but its too sensitive. So the “powerful 500 watt motor” is a waste because it’s handicapped by the weak blade assembly. It’s like a high-end sports car with defective tires. I would recommend avoiding any Waring blenders unless you’re only using the most viscous ingredients.
We make lots of ice cream shakes and smoothies. It handles it all perfectly! Love the look as well…we keep it out on the counter all the time. Needless to say, we are very happy with this purchase.
I bought this blender two years ago to upgrade from my Oster blender. I loved the retro look until the cool little black pieces started peeling off. Well, that was only cosmetic, but what was that burning smell when I “pushed” the motor too hard? Why didn’t it make a simple fruit smoothie? This is a Waring, right? I have tried to love it. I have tried to forgive it. The truth is, I despise this blender. I gave my Oster blender to my mother-in-law. I wish I could take it back. I didn’t know how good I had it. I wish I had returned it the first time it couldn’t blend a frozen strawberry.
This blender had a lot of issues, the rubber black lines cracked and fell out after a few months, and then the blade stopped turning, even though the motor seems fine.
Called waring, tried to use their website, but it seems there is not even a customer service department. So disappointed, as I purchased this blender because of the 5 year warranty.
We bought this about 2 years ago. It looks great and we liked the fact that the jar is glass and the base has a clean stainless look. We use it often to make smoothies with juice, frozen fruit, etc.
However, it started breaking down in the last 6 months. My husband keeps tightening the blades inside the blender, but it has broken down to the point where we can’t use it anymore. We may try to get it repaired, but it would probably cost the same to buy another, less expensive blender. I don’t know how long a blender should last, I just wish this one would have held up longer. I wouldn’t buy another one; it doesn’t seem worth the money.
Couldn’t slice through warm butter. First time I used it, to make a smoothie, couldn’t chop through frozen fruit. I’m returning this pile of junk! As with most things these days, the quality of previous years isn’t there. I’d recommend looking for a vintage model on ebay.
