It doesn’t do anything that’s promised in the description. Couldn’t even handle cut dried apricots, that’s been sitting in water for 2 hours (can you imagine how soft were they?)It says that it can turn chunky fruits, frozen ingredients and even ice into the smoothest purees, creamiest healthy fruit beverages and more ..goodluck with that! I am very dissapointed with this product.

The blender works well. Per the picture I thought I was getting a glass jar instead I got a stainless steel jar. The blender does work well overall I am satisfied with the product.

As mentioned by others, the plastic base of the cutter assembly started cracking on mine. I was thinking of replacing it when the glass jar broke and figured it was time to buy a new blender. I barely used this blender and never used it to blend ice, and it sounds it was a wise decision. The food blended in there was not smooth, unlike the one from my new Cuisinart. I too though that Black & Decker was a brand representing good manufacturing and solid long-lasting products, but I guess it is no longer true.

Don’t buy this blender. I bought it to make smoothies in the morning. We used it twice and the blender began to smoke and finally just shut down. I expected that Black and Decker would make a more quality product, but apparently not.
