breville die cast hemisphere 2 speed blender Important Roadmap
I recently picked this blender up when my old blender, a Kitchenaid KSB560OB 5-Speed Ultra Power Series Blender that was about 3 years old died. In defense of the old blender a small piece of chicken bone inadvertantly went in when I was blending homemade dog food so I consider it my fault. However, rather than fixing the broken coupler I decided it was a good opportunity to upgrade to something with more power.
My dream blender was a vitamix since I had heard rave reviews about it from friends who owned one. However after analyzing the cost I realized I didn’t need my blender to do as many things as it could promise given I already have a juicer, food processor, immersion blender and spice grinder at home. After reading about this blender it seemed like the perfect alterative. It’s still VERY well made and he design of the jar allows it to blend frozen fruit with ease, but it’s about half the price of a vitamix.
So far I’ve used it to make lots of smoothies, pureed dips, and other typical uses and it has performed all very quickly. The only thing that is odd to get used to is that after a certain point the blender turns off automatically but I have found by that point the job is usually done. I even as a test put in frozen chicken and vegetables with a little yogurt and rice to make some homemade dog food and it blended it up perfectly. Typically I would have defrosted the chicken first but with this new blender I didn’t have to.
Another plus is that because of the way the jar is designed clean up is very easy. I find that tiny bits of food no longer get stuck under the blade part and I spend much less time cleaning it, even if I leave it in the sink for a couple days without rinsing first.
Overall this is a great blender. I’m not sure if it could handle the range of tasks that a vitamix can do (although I haven’t tried) but if you have other appliances on hand you probably will not mention it above. Overall its a great quality blender that is consistent with what I have come to expect by also owning a Breville juicer and immersion blender. Highly recommended.

Got this blender as a christmas gift. I was really excited because the reviews were good and I needed a blender for my daily protein shakes. I figured this would last for a long time since it is a Waring and we have had nothing but good products from them in the past. Boy, was I wrong. The blender set up easily, but the first thing I noticed was that it was fairly small. My shakes are basically 2 cups of water, a fresh banana, ice and maybe some frozen fruit. No nuts or seeds or anything really difficult to crush. Compared to my old Cuisnart I had to be more careful with the adding of ingredients because of the small size. I like to add the mix last while the blender is going to avoid it sticking to the sides. Since this was a smaller jar, I had to be extra careful to avoid spilling out. I could have lived with all of that, except that about three weeks after I got it, it broke. After maybe 20 uses, I cleaned it just as I normally do. A drop of soap in the jar with some hot water and run the blender for a little while. Rinse and turn upside down until dry. A few hours later I go to dry up any remaining water and store it when I find that the shaft holding the blade to the base broke. It was clear that there was a defect in the metal as it was rusted partially through. THere had to be a crack in the shaft. So I used Amazon’s retun feature to order a new blender of the same model. You have to love Amazon’s return procedure. In a couple of days the new blender arrived. Two weeks later the new blender had the same failure. I now have a Brevile blender and am crossing my fingers. Don’t buy this blender unless you are planning on sending it back until you get one without a defect.

braun mx2050 powermax jug 525 watt blender Info
I bought this blender because it got good reviews on Consumer Reports. It was quite a disappointment. First and foremost the machine is mostly plastic and very cheap looking. The only reason I bought this was for crushing ice in smoothies and bar drinks. I am out of luck unless I have 15 minutes to start and stop the machine, shake up the contents, swoosh it around, try again, and again, and again. I have found that the machine can not handle more than 3 ice cubes at a time (I’ve tried all combinations) and frozen fruit is out of the question. The fruit must be defrosted slightly in the microwave first. Wow - after writing this I realize how much I’ve become a slave to this piece of junk! If you’re really interested in buying this one, come to my house and you can have mine. I’ll be happy to have you take it off my hands.

waring pro rpm blender Hint
This blender may be fine for some things but I have yet to determine what. I primarily use my blender (every day) to make a breakfast smoothie. I put in frozen fruit, milk, egg… After about a month of use, the screw holding the blades to the motor was stripped. I called the company and they informed me it was not meant for frozen fruit. This important bit of information should be printed big and clear on their packaging and marketing materials! They did send me a replacement part which was much appreciated.
I still use the blender, but make sure to break my fruit into very small pieces and put them in after the liquids. So far it has lasted several more months, but I’m expecting it to break again at any time.
However I will probably replace it before it breaks again because it has another beyond-irritating habit of blending a pocket of air in the middle of the goo that I’m trying to blend. So the blades spin around and around and nothing happens. I have to stop it, shake it around or stir it to pop the bubble, and start it up again. I have to do this between 2 and 10 times each time I blend something which infuriates me! That’s no way to start your day.
Prior to this I had an old Cuisinart blender that never had this problem and ran without any trouble for over a decade! I wish I had just kept that blender…

Award Winning kitchenaid pro blender Website
I was recently freed from my terrible Oster blender which finally died. Although it was outside my inital budget, I’ve tested this model daily for the last two months and I can say that it’s recommended for daily duty.
Firstly, it’s made of quality materials and incredibly solid. It has a simple and elegant look that you’ll proudly display this on your counter rather than hide it away (which is a good thing because it weighs a ton). The one piece stainless jug has a unique look and is easy to clean.
Secondly, the performance is amazing for smoothies and milkshakes. It makes short work of the ice and frozen fruit in 15 seconds. The motor can work through a number of runs back to back without any worries. I love the two speed switch because I never understood why a blender needed 10 speeds.
Finally, I expect this to work for a very long time but the blender includes a two year warranty, great customer support, and easy to find replacement parts.

Oster 600-Watt Fusion Blender.
Great product. I have one for over a year at both my summer home and my winter home, mostly to make smoothies - frozen banana pieces with other frozen fruit plus milk, daily. One failed to come on after a few months of use, and I exchanged it for a new one. No other problems so far. Program is great, and with the right balance of fruit and milk, it mixes a great drink without even splattering onto the, but most of the time, the lid does get splatter. The lid is difficult to clean, so put it in a small, plastic bag, which, with a simple rinse, lasts for several days; the lid on my newer one has never been wet.
Air Pocket. Yes, as with any such device, air pockets can develop. A little experimentation with liquid to solid balance will enable it to either avoid air pockets or clear the air after a few seconds of the high speed portion of the cycle.
I tried this model because of the program and power before shelling out over five times the cost for a commercial model.
I can’t imagine a better blender, and the only accessory I needed was the plastic bag for the lid.

magic bullett blender Free Useful Info
I bought this item to make smoothies for breakfast on the way out the door in the morning. It works great. I did some research and this one is as good as any. Price isn’t too bad. It is powerful enough to handle the frozen fruit and not too loud. Doesn’t bother the other sleeping people in the house.

kitchenaid blender ksb580 Interrelated Tip
Replaced an 30 year old Oster blender with this KitchenAid - and I love it. I use it 2-3 times a week.
Pros:
1. Power: It makes terrific smoothies and handles both fresh and frozen fruit.
2. Appearance: I had originally planned to keep the blender in my appliance garage. But this blender is so attractive (brushed nickel finish with black top), that I’ve left it out on my counter. It looks great and goes perfectly with the appliances in my kitchen.
3. Ease of cleaning. My old blender had 4 parts (blade, gasket, jar, and bottom plastic piece that held the blades and gasket). It was a pain to clean. This one-piece blade and jar makes clean-up a snap. I fill the jar with warm water and a squirt of dish washing liquid. I can drop the blender lid and plastic cap into the the jar itself - and wash everything in one quick step.
4. Jar size. I love the 56 oz. size. I can make several large-size smoothies at once.
5. The polycarbonate jar: I was really worried about this because I had always had a glass jar. I was afraid it might scratch, break, or otherwise not last as long as my old glass jar. But I decided to take a chance and really appreciate the lighter weight.
6. Pouring spout: my old blender didn’t have a spout. You were expected to pour from one of the corners - and I usually made a mess. The shape of this jar makes pouring even full loads easy to do, especially since the jar itself is light.
7. Controls: My older blender had push buttons. No matter how carefully I tried to clean it, eventually dirt, spills, whatever accumulated around the buttons and couldn’t be easily cleaned. This blender is a snap to wipe off - and no grooves that can trap food.
Cons: It is noisier than my old blender. But all the pros definitely outweigh this con
