I purchased this after chipping my original glass jar. The blades fit the new jar just fine but the original lid to my glass jar does not fit, suggest purchasing the set with blades and lid.

My lid for the previous plastic jar did not fit this jar. My old jar was also a replacement, but was a Hamilton Beach product. This jar was not an HB product. Perhaps the lid Goodman’s sells for their plastic jars does fit. I returned the plastic and bought a glass jar, along with the different-sized lid and insert for glass jars. The blender blade, O-ring and base do fit either the replacement glass or plastic. The glass jar is so thick I bet it wouldn’t break unless you dropped it on stone, so I recommend the glass over this plastic one.
