oster counterforms blender bvlb07 Free Helpful Knowledgebase
I bought the one featured at Costko today, at fifty bucks. The model as stamped on the bottom of the base is BVCBO7-B. I made a smoothie with it, looked over the manual. The thing is, you cannot reverse the blade direction at will. The “pre-programmed” buttons (Frozen Drink and Food Chop) have a reverse direction phase in their cycles. The pre-programmed actions are finite and stop after some seconds, Frozen Drink cycle being 30 seconds. You can, of course, continue blending by pressing buttons. The BVCB07-B seems similar (basically identical except for the appearance of the base) to the Fusion and the other “Counterforms” blenders, but less expensive (at least at Costko, and I imagine that the BVCB07-B might be a Costko exclusive). The Fusion and Beehive (which is not a “Counterforms” blender in any sense other than having a 600 watt motor) are currently $60 at Wally.
The Counterforms blenders and the Fusion (all these are the ones featuring “reversible” action), have a 6 bladed cutting unit as opposed to the standard 4 blade unit that comes/came with all the other Oster blenders over the years. If you look over the box carefully you would think that there’s a means to reverse direction of the blade assembly, but there’s really no means of doing so. The blades go backward for only a split second several times during the pre-programmed Frozen Drink and Food Chop cycles, should you choose them by pressing either of their dedicated buttons. The function of this is clearly to dislodge jammed material. The 6 blade assembly is sharpened only on one side (all 6 blades), so reverse blending wouldn’t work (unless they sharpened the blades on both sides).
I bought the all black one. Costko also sells it in silver/black. The base is plastic, not metal. The Beehive appears to have a metal base except for the plastic at the top (which is said to break sometimes). The Costko display, which states the price and a resume of the features presents it as a “Counterforms” blender, however the word “Counterforms” does not appear on the box, the manual or the unit! From what I have seen, I’m inclined to think that it is essentially the same as the Fusion and the other Counterforms. I believe the motor, the electronics, the controls, the container are all the same.
So far I’ve made 3 smoothies and they came out fine. I don’t find it to be terribly loud, either. In fact it seems to be definitely quieter than the other two Oster blenders I’ve owned, a recent 450 watt 14 speed and a 20+ years ago bought 120 watt 10 speed.

Download cuisinart premier blender Reports
We purchased this blender at a local home improvement store, thinking the well-respected name, 600 watt motor, and glass pitcher would equal one heavy-duty machine. It looks great! But, it stopped working mid-way through the second batch of frozen drinks! Didn’t have it turned “ON,” I was using the pulsing feature. So, called the Customer Service number, and they said I could send it to them for repair or replacement in two weeks. The reatiler was 10 minutes away, so returning it there was no big deal.
The second time around, the blender again stopped working during the second use. I made the children some banana milkshakes, rinsed the pitcher out, to make some strawberry frozen drinks for us. The darned thing stopped working again! Called Customer Service about it and they gave me the same story. So, back to the home-store . . .
Take three . . . new machine . . . made one batch of our favourite frozen drinks again. Poured two glasses and left the rest sitting in the pitcher for seconds. When I came back for seconds, I wanted to tap the pulse feature to re-blend the drinks . . . but, the thing wouldn’t work!! Back on the phone to Customer Service. They suggested I check their website and select another of their “fine blender line.” YEAH RIGHT!!! They also said that “maybe you got a ‘bad batch’.” A “bad batch” of blenders?
Several things can be learned here: I enjoy frozen strawberry drinks too much, my local home improvement store has great customer service, and THIS BLENDER IS A PIECE OF JUNK!!!!

Great sunbeam blenders News
Every once in awhile I enjoy a protein shake; so every once in awhile I need a dependable blender. That’s where the OSTER 14 SPEED BLENDER comes in. Just put in your ingredients, replace the lid, hold on and mix. ‘Tis best to use the intermediate speeds; if you go up on the high end speeds the blender tends to get a little. . .agitated.
This Oster oozes convenience. Easy touch push button controls. A scratch-resistant “glass” jar that you can toss in the dishwasher. The 450 watt motor is more than sufficient (who in the world will be trying to blend their ratchet set, for example?). And although I’ve never attempted to crush ice, this product does have the stainless steel “Ice Crusher” blade. Maybe it would crush a rib eye, but I’m not going to find out (although I’ve been known to do wackier things).
So Osterize your shakes, your snacks, your fruit blends, your veggie smoothies, your Milk of Magnesia constitutionals, with the OSTER 14 SPEED BLENDER. Being mixed up can taste good.

Bid for cuisinart smart power premier blender and win the products for free
My primary use for a blender is frozen drinks and smoothies. I went through 3 blenders before finding this one. Frozen fruit is no problem for this guy. Ice crushing is a breeze and I use ice right from my freezer. Yes, it is noisy but I expect a 600 watt motor to be noisy. And I agree the pouring is sometimes an issue, I just pour out the corner of the jug.
Cleaning is no problem, fill the empty jar with a little warm water, a drop or two of dish soap and blend. Then use the warm soapy water to clean the outside. The key is too not let food or ingredients dry up on it.
I wouldn’t trade it for anything and have purchased another one for my step-daughter and her family. Love my blender!
